💛 Meet Nobomi. Her name means ‘life’. In Xhosa culture, there is an expression ‘wathinta abafazi wathinta imbokotho’ translated as ‘you strike the woman, you strike the rock’. Women are compared to a rock because of their strength, resilience and ability to multi-task. Nobomi is carrying a bucket on her head to fetch water, whilst carrying and breastfeeding her baby at the same time.
💛 It’s hard to describe exactly how beautifully exquisite this doll is. She has been lovingly hand-made by the talented Sibo. Her outfit is designed and painted over a recycled bottle, the baby sling is made from fabric. Every detail has been carefully considered, this doll is truly stunning.
💛 Nobomi is completely unique and is one of a kind.
💛 She is perfect in her imperfection, please view the photographs carefully.
💛 Please note Nobomi is extremely delicate and is for decoration only. She is not suitable as a toy for children
