Gorgeous bowtie handmade in South Africa by Polka.Dot.Coco. The dynamic duo behind the brand are sisters Nelly and Zi Zama. They are co-founders of the business and are based in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
All of the material for their ties and bowties is sourced locally in South Africa and each item is lovingly hand made.
The print on these bowties is typical of the Ndebele people – geometric patterns with a rick black outline filled with bold, vibrant colour. The patterns often have meaning and can represent status, wealth, or sometimes announcements such as a wedding.
The bowtie has an adjustable strap and measures 13cm wide – the widest part of the bow measures 6cm.
Clean with a damp cloth.
